Scientific interests
 
 
Our main scientific interests are basic and applied researches aimed at regenerating damaged vessels and heart.
The Group has dedicated many years to study these diseases and has developed a strong cohesion between researchers who can integrate multidisciplinary experience necessary to accomplish the goals typical of regenerative medicine. The Group exploits collaborations ranging from basic disciplines such as Chemistry, Biochemistry and Experimental Pathology, to clinics such as Heart Surgery and Experimental Surgery, complemented by areas of Bioengineering, Mechanical Engineering and Electronic Engineering.
The
Group is developing constructs engineered with adult stem cells in order to obtain biomedical devices to be transplanted in the damaged heart or vessels, thereby improving the process of tissue repair and functional recovery.
